Adding one thing to another gives both of them a purpose. For example: a wardrobe without shelves or hangers is just a big wooden box.

A house without doors is just a huge isolation chamber with that no one can come in or out.

But with doors we are able to come in and out which creates a openable space with privacy.

Just like a house without walls is just one giant room. Until we build walls in and divide them into different rooms for multi functions.
